What do the numbers on the player version of the dome submap reflect?
I believe they're for all intents and purposes meaningless. There may have been some logic when we were making the handout but it's lost to the eons. Call it in-universe corporate proprietary encoding.
I ran this as a one-shot with friends in virtual space during the lockdowns. It was a super fun evening! Fans on the Mothership Discord server have created some great handout supplements and extra maps for it, and you can also find tips on game-mothering the story.Well worth the 2(!)$ price of admission.
Reminds me a lot of LOCAL 58's "Weather Service", especially the communication from home base. I love the layout, it's all really clean, and the location seems interesting.
I do have one question: what are the PCs supposed to do about this? I can't find anything called out as an escape route, or anything to time how long it takes for a rescue ship.
Hey, I'm glad you like it!
Means of escape is left intentionally open ended, because it's going to come down to player ingenuity. The two most obvious methods of escape would be to repair the satellite and call for help, or use the crashed escape pod to jet off-moon.
Thanks for the advice! I'll make sure to come back here and talk about it some more after I play it (if I ever manage to). I'm also really excited for The Drain :)
Had the pleasure of playtesting this, it's great!
